Playgrounds

The Council provides and maintains 2 children's playgrounds:

The Green park, Seamer

-  what3words: newsprint.giants.grove

-  for toddlers and juniors

-  fully enclosed by gates, walls and 1m + bow top railing fences

-  with picnic tables and benches

No dogs, other than assistance and guide dogs, are allowed in The Green park under North Yorkshire Council's Dog Control Public Spaces Protection Order, any offence for which a fixed penalty notice may be issued and, if not paid, a person who is guilty shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding level 3 on the standard scale.

The Council is grateful to the volunteer members of the Friends of Seamer Village for their grounds maintenance of The Green, always keeping it looking great!

The Recreation Ground, Seamer

-  at site of Seamer Sports Association, off Pasture Lane, Seamer. YO12 4QP

-  what3words: described.willing.oddly

-  for juniors

-  an open playground with benches, alongside one of our outdoor gyms

Please respect Seamer Sports Association and its members, who lease, maintain and have exclusive use of the rest of the site for the sport, health and recreational benefit of the community.

Please keep your dog away from the children's playground & outdoor gym and, if walking it, stay to the edges around the playing fields, keep it on a lead and 'pick up' after it, so the whole community can enjoy this superb open space provided by the Council.

There is strictly no access for vehicles or parking anywhere on this site, other than for members of Seamer Sports Association along the private access road and within their car park.

Please remember the following to keep your family/community safe:

Judge the risk of common infections to you, immediate family and others before entering the play area.

Wash or sanitise your hands before and after your visit, and try not to touch your face while 'playing'.

If you or anyone in your immediate family are showing symptoms of common infections, please do not enter the play area.
